Riverton City is seeking a contract for a web-based visitor and location intelligence platform, according to a report published October 22. The proposed platform aims to provide aggregated visitation, visitor origin, demographic, and market data for any location in Riverton City.
The city intends to use the data from this platform to recruit retailers and developers and to measure visitation for parks, facilities, and events. This information is intended to help forecast sales tax revenue, support grant applications, and assist the council in making location-based decisions by determining staffing needs.
The successful vendor's platform must provide several key features, including unlimited users and data that is no more than four days old. The solution must provide historic and recent data covering a rolling seven-year period and must not rely on personally identifiable information. Additionally, the platform must include an AI chat function capable of producing finished deliverables from a single prompt and providing data-backed answers to user questions.
The requested scope of services includes the ability to analyze visitation to city parks, recreational facilities, and community events. The platform must provide information on developments that are being planned, are under construction, or were recently completed near any location. The city also requires capabilities for retail recruitment and site selection, including the identification of potential locations for specific retail establishments and analysis of consumer shopping patterns.
Offers for the Request for Proposal must be received by 2:00 PM on November 3, 2026. Proposals may be submitted electronically to ccalvert@rivertonutah.gov. The contract resulting from this request is expected to have a term of five years, with payments made on an annual basis.
