Haven Bay Elementary has recently shared updates regarding student achievements and various school-wide celebrations. The school continues to engage students through hands-on learning and community involvement.
Students at Haven Bay Elementary have participated in a wide range of academic and extracurricular activities. Fifth-grade students engaged in math and engineering lessons by transforming their classroom into a wildlife sanctuary. Additionally, fifth graders studied Colonial America through hands-on history lessons and learned about wetland habitats during a visit from the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge.
Other notable activities include a visit from the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium’s Rainforest Van and a hands-on curling session hosted by the Utah Curling Club for fifth and sixth graders. The school's Running Club also recently completed a 5K run.
The school community has also participated in several themed events. This included a Purple Up Day to recognize and support military students and their families. The school also hosted a Chocolate Touch: Books and Bi... celebration to promote reading with families.
Haven Bay Elementary's mission is to empower all students to learn at high levels within a collaborative, engaging, and caring environment. The school's mascot, the Great Blue Heron, was chosen because the bird is regularly encountered in Utah.
