Darryn Peterson posted a 2-point, 12-assist double-double and Cody Williams contributed 18 points with eight boards to help the Utah Jazz defeat the Memphis Grizzlies 109-100 on Monday night during the Salt Lake City Summer League.
The game featured a significant matchup between the second and third overall picks of the 2026 NBA Draft, as Peterson played for Utah and Cameron Boozer suited up for the Grizzlies.
The contest remained close throughout the first three quarters, with the Jazz holding a 24-23 lead after the first quarter, a 29-29 tie in the second, and another 24-23 advantage in the third. Utah eventually pulled away in the fourth quarter by outscoring the Grizzlies 32-25.
The Jazz demonstrated strength in several categories, including a 40-19 advantage in bench points and a 44-38 edge in points in the paint. The team shot 51.4% from the field and 39.4% from 3-point range. Seven Utah players scored in double digits, while Blake Hinson finished with 15 points.
For the Grizzlies, Cedric Coward led the scoring with 23 points on 9-for-21 shooting. Cameron Boozer recorded 18 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Other notable scorers for Memphis included Olivier-Maxence Prosper with 16 points and Javon Small with 14 points and six assists.
The Grizzlies struggled to capitalize on Utah's turnovers, scoring only 15 points on 13 turnovers.
On the injury front for the Jazz, center Kylor Kelley exited the game with an injury and did not return.
