RECEIPT OF BIDS: Separate sealed BIDS or Electronic Submittal using Bonfire for the construction of 2027 Phase III Water Replacement Project will be received by Taggart Bowen, City Engineer at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, 56 North State, Orem, UT 84057, or opened electronically on Bonfire until November 19, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The preferred method for submitting a bid is by using Bonfire at https://utah.bonfirehub.com (Select the search bar > > enter “City of Orem” > Enter).
BIDDING QUESTIONS – Use Bonfire to submit questions and download documents relating to bid items, specifications, and other technical questions. The Project Manager is Tacoma Parkinson,(801) 229-7314. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., in the Community Development Ponderosa Conference Room, located at 56 North State Street, Orem Utah, 84057.
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained October 22, 2026 on Bonfire or at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, Community Development Offices, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057. There is no fee from the City to obtain the documents on Bonfire. There will be a $20 non-refundable fee for a copy of the plans and specification. (An additional $5.00 service charge will be assessed if the plans and specifications are to be mailed).
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The WORK includes the installation of approximately 3,560 linear feet of 12” DR-18 C900 waterline, 6,300 linear feet of 8” waterline, 600 linear feet of 6” DR-18 C900 waterline 53 water service extensions, connecting 16 water service to new main line, installing 56 new water services, installing 33 new fire hydrants, and other utility and roadway improvements.
SITE OF WORK: The site of WORK is divided into two distinct locations. Location 1 includes Business Park Drive and all directly connecting offshoot roads. Location 2 includes 680 South from 1200 West to the end of the road, as well as 1020 West between 680 South and 600 South.
