Nibley City offers recreational baseball, softball, and t-ball leagues designed to provide an affordable developmental experience. The program aims to create a non-competitive environment where players can learn the fundamentals of the sports.
To support this learning-oriented atmosphere, the city encourages parents and spectators to provide positive cheering for players, coaches, and umpires.
The league provides various rules and resources for different age groups and skill levels. Available documentation includes specific rules for T-Ball, Ponytail, 10U, 12U, and 14U Softball, as well as Rookie, Minor, Major, and Pony Baseball.
Coaches have access to several instructional tools, including videos on improving throwing, hitting, grounding, and catching forms. The city also provides specific drill videos for softball pitching, softball hitting, softball throwing, baseball pitching, baseball hitting, baseball throwing, and infield drills.
Nibley City manages game cancellations through a specific weather notification policy. Participants should plan to play unless notified otherwise by a Nibley City Coordinator, regardless of the forecast.
Decisions regarding weather or field condition cancellations are determined at or before 4 pm on the day of the game. Notifications are delivered via text or phone call from a coordinator to coaches. For widespread rainouts or field closures, notifications may also be posted on the Nibley City Facebook page.
As part of its mission to foster a connected community through shared experience, Nibley Recreation features a Sportsmanship Award at the end of the season. The initiative recognizes one player and one coach for their exceptional examples of integrity, ethical behavior, and fair play.
Nominations are requested for individuals who have demonstrated commitment to sportsmanship throughout the season.
