Market Street Grill and Oyster Bar Downtown will permanently close their doors on June 30, 2026, according to a notice from the restaurant. The announcement marks the end of nearly 50 years of service in Salt Lake City.
The restaurant described the closure as bittersweet, noting that the downtown locations served as gathering places for generations of guests for anniversaries, business deals, and family celebrations.
In an effort to reconnect with past staff, the restaurant has invited former employees to attend an Employee Reunion on Wednesday, June 24.
While the downtown locations are closing, the Market Street Grill family will continue operations at its Cottonwood and South Jordan locations.
