The Herriman Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a regular session on Oct. 7, 2026, to address several legislative items and zoning requests, according to an Oct. 1 notice.
The meeting will begin with a work meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the Fort Herriman Conference Room before transitioning to a regular session at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 5355 West Herriman Main Street.
The commission will review several legislative items that serve as recommendations to the City Council. One request involves amending the Herriman City Zoning Map for property near 7162 W Gina Road. The applicant, owner Lorena Iorg, is seeking to change the zoning from A-1-43, which requires a 1-acre minimum per lot, to A-1-10, which requires 10,000 square feet per lot minimum for the approximately 0.91-acre property.
Additional legislative business includes a request from Herriman City to amend Chapter 10-10 of the Herriman City Land Development Code. This proposal seeks to establish new R-1-6 and R-1-8 zones. The commission will also review a request to amend the Olympia Master Development Agreement to include a definition for affordable New Homes, incorporate requirements from the Affordable Housing Infrastructure Grant Board, and modify development standards.
The scheduled work meeting will focus on commission business, including a review of City Council decisions, a review of agenda items from planning staff, and a discussion regarding Herriman City Code Title 10. During the regular session, the commission will also consider the approval of minutes from the Sept. 2, 2026, Planning Commission meeting.
The next Herriman City Council meeting is scheduled for Oct. 14, 2026, and the following Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for Oct. 21, 2026.
