Davis School District announced the recognition of 21 new Purple Star Schools this year. The designation is used to support military-connected students and families.
With these additions, the district now has a total of 84 Purple Star Schools, surpassing any other district in the state.
The new schools joining the Purple Star family include Adams, Adelaide, Bountiful, Canyon Creek, Crestview, Doxey, Endeavour, Foxboro, Heritage, Holt, Knowlton, Meadowbrook, Morgan, Oak Hills, Odyssey, Syracuse, West Point, Whitesides, and Woods Cross elementary schools.
Additionally, Horizon and Kaysville junior high schools have been recognized.
Recognition celebrations for the new schools are scheduled to take place this August.
