Mountain West Medical Center has partnered with Chapter to provide free, personalized guidance to residents navigating Medicare enrollment, according to an August 31 statement.
The collaboration involves Chapter, a team of licensed independent Medicare advisors, to assist patients in transitioning from current health plans.
Phil Eaton, CEO of Mountain West Medical Center, stated that navigating Medicare can be challenging due to the various factors involved in selecting a healthcare plan. He noted the center is committed to helping patients receive quality care regardless of the Medicare plan selected.
Chapter advisors assist patients by comparing plans to find affordable options for prescriptions and doctor visits. They also help select coverage that allows patients to continue receiving care from Mountain West Medical Center and answer questions regarding plan options and coverage details to ensure patients receive in-network care.
Local residents can contact Chapter by calling 833-202-4941 or by visiting MedicareMountainWest.com for assistance.
For current Mountain West Medical Center patients, the center advises reviewing alternate options as soon as possible if a Medicare health plan is not listed as in-network.
Key Medicare enrollment dates include the Medicare Open Enrollment period from October 15 through December 7, which allows for coverage changes beginning January 1. Additionally, the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment period runs from January 1 through March 31, allowing patients to switch Medicare Advantage plans or return to Original Medicare, though prescription drug plan changes are not included in that period.
