The PTA Family Magic Night Extravaganza was scheduled for Monday, September 21. The event, which serves as a major fall fundraiser for the PTA, features pizza, concessions, a silent auction, the West High Juggling Club, and a performance by magician Scott Chamberlain starting at 6:00 p.m. Doors for the event open at 5:00 p.m.
Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for September 23 through September 25. According to the school, September 20 was the final day for families to select specific appointment times through myDSD before remaining slots are automatically assigned. The school will dismiss early at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, Thursday, September 24, and Friday, September 25.
The Scholastic Book Fair will run from Wednesday through Friday. The fair is open from 1:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Purchases made at the fair assist the school in adding books to the library and support the Share the Fair program.
The school's theme for September is Effort Matters, which emphasizes the connection between student effort and growth. The school also highlighted the importance of digital citizenship and the responsibility of schools to protect student data through Davis School District policies.
