Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall has ordered a curfew for all city residents from 8 p.m. Saturday night until 6 a.m. Monday morning.
During this time, only mandatory employees should be on campus. Clinical employees at University of Utah Health are advised to consult with their supervisors regarding these orders.
The university has provided several resources for the campus community during this period. Students living in Housing and Residential Education who have urgent needs can contact the Peterson Heritage Center Information Desk.
For those requiring safety assistance, campus police or courtesy escorts can be reached via phone. Additionally, various counseling and support services remain available through several campus entities, including the University Neuropsychiatric Institute crisis line, the Center for Student Wellness, the University Counseling Center, the Women’s Resource Center, the Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action, and the Office of the Dean of Students.
The campus community is encouraged to visit safeu.utah.edu for comprehensive information regarding incident reporting, support resources, and safety training. Information from the city can also be found through the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office and the Mayor's social media.
