UNI Athletics and Panther football have announced the addition of two home-and-home series to the program's future slate involving Weber State and Northern Arizona. Each matchup is scheduled to include a contest in 2027 and a return game in 2029.
The series with Weber State will see the Wildcats travel to Cedar Falls in 2027 for their fourth visit to the UNI-Dome. This will be the first time the teams have met in Cedar Falls since 2023, when the Wildcats won 34-17. The Panthers will travel to Ogden, Utah, in 2029 for the third time in program history.
The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks and the Panthers will participate in a dome-and-dome series, marking their first meeting since 2005. The Lumberjacks are scheduled to travel to Arizona in 2027, while Northern Arizona will return to Cedar Falls during the 2029 season.
UNI holds a 3-1 all-time series record against Northern Arizona, having won the last three meetings. The Panthers are 2-0 at the UNI-Dome against the Lumberjacks but have a 1-1 record in Flagstaff. Regarding the Weber State series, the Panthers won previous home meetings in 1980 and 1991, while the Wildcats hold a 0-2 record in meetings held in Ogden.
