Dear Amelia Earhart Families,
Our beginning-of-year Acadience testing is complete! Thank you to our students for working hard and showing us what they know.
Parents, please be on the lookout for Acadience letters coming home from Provo City School District. These letters will provide information about your child's beginning-of-year reading results.
After the letters are sent home, I will follow up by email, and your child's teacher will also communicate with you about your student's results and what they mean for their reading instruction and support this year.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We appreciate all you do to help our Aviators learn, grow, and soar!

School Play: Newsies Auditions
We are excited for this year's school play, Newsies!
Auditions: Wednesday, Sept. 23
Time: 3:30–5:00 p.m.
Pick-Up: Please pick up students by 5:05 p.m.
Students will be taught a song and dance to perform for the directors. All students who audition will be cast! A snack will be provided. The cast list will be posted Sept. 25.
Acadience Reading and Math Results
Beginning-of-year Acadience testing is complete! Please watch for a letter from Provo City School District with your child's reading results. I will follow up with additional information by email, and your child's teacher will communicate with you about results and any needed reading support.

School pictures are now available! You will need your student's ID number or their Portrait ID and Access Code to locate their photos.

Boys & Girls Club
The Boys & Girls Club After-School Program is available at Amelia Earhart! Students can participate in after-school care and enrichment opportunities, including STEM Engineering and Olympic Sports Clubs.

Attendance Focus
Attendance Week is Sept. 28–Oct. 1! Strong attendance helps students build better study habits, confidence, and self-discipline. Thank you for helping your child arrive on time and ready to learn each day.

Fall Carnival
Oct. 5 | 5:00–7:00 p.m.
Volunteers are needed for set-up, during the carnival, and clean-up. Volunteers will receive a free meal following their shift.

PTA Reflections
It's time to get creative, Aviators! Entries are due Oct. 5. The first 50 students to submit online receive a prize! Enter 3 or more categories to earn an additional prize.
Student Photos and Recognition
We love celebrating our Aviators! Because families make separate choices regarding the use of student names, photos, and videos, student names will no longer be included with our weekly RISE Book Winner posts in the newsletter or online.
This does not change how we celebrate students at school! Our Aviators will continue to be recognized, announced, celebrated, and receive their prizes. Thank you for helping us celebrate students while respecting every family's privacy choices.
