South Salt Lake provided a variety of free summer camps at four different locations throughout the city. Operating from June 8 to July 17, all programs included daily meals for participants.
South Salt Lake Community Center Programs
The South Salt Lake Community Center, located at 2530 S. 500 E., hosted elementary programs for grades 1-5 from 9 AM to 5 PM, as well as a Teen Tech Center for grades 6-12 from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Central Park Community Center Offerings
Central Park Community Center at 2797 S. 200 E. offered several sessions, including elementary programs for grades 1-5 from 9 AM to 5 PM, elementary boxing for grades 3-5 from 11 AM to 1 PM, and teen boxing for grades 6-12 from 1 PM to 5 PM.
Additional Locations and Programming Details
Additional programming took place at the Historic Scott School with elementary sessions for grades 1-5 and a Teen Tech Center for grades 6-12, both running from 1 PM to 5 PM. Lincoln Elementary, located at 450 E. 3700 S., hosted elementary students in grades 1-5 from 9 AM to 1 PM.
