The Elwood Town Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a meeting on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The meeting will take place at the Elwood Town Hall located at 5235 West 8800 North in Elwood, Utah.
A public hearing is scheduled to address a zoning ordinance amendment concerning the addition of 27 specific properties to the Elwood Zoning Map. During this session, the commission intends to review and discuss verbal and written objections to the proposed zoning map and ordinances. Following this discussion, the commission will make recommendations to the Town Council regarding amendments to the Elwood Town Zoning Map and various ordinances, including 155.126 and 155.140-143, among others.
The meeting agenda includes a welcome and prayer led by Commission Chair Britton Hayden, and the review of minutes from August 4, 2026, and August 18, 2026. Updates will be provided by Town Councilman Phil Shimek and Zoning Administrator Talsan Schulzke of Jones & Assoc. Residents attending the meeting are allotted three minutes to express concerns or ask questions regarding issues not on the agenda.
