A wide array of cultural, musical, and educational events are taking place across Utah this weekend. From arts festivals in Ogden to wildflower celebrations in the Cottonwood Canyons, residents and visitors have numerous opportunities for community engagement.
The Ogden Arts Festival 2026 is being held at the historic Ogden Union Station on July 18 and 19. The event features more than 100 local and regional artists displaying original work, alongside live music, food vendors, and interactive experiences for all ages.
In the mountains, the Wasatch Wildflower Festival 2026 is concluding its run at the Alta Ski Area through July 19. This multi-day event, which began on July 11, offers guided walks and activities designed to educate visitors about the ecology of the watershed environment and the protection of natural resources. Musical performances are also scheduled throughout the area. The Marcus King Band is set to perform at Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre on July 19 as part of the 2026 Red Butte Outdoor Concert Series. Additionally, the a cappella group Kings Return will perform at the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre in Orem on July 20.
Literary and film enthusiasts have several scheduled programs. At the Utah Museum of Fine Arts in Salt Lake City, New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Lynn Barnes will participate in a conversation with author Tricia Levenseller to celebrate the release of The Gilded Blade.
The Sundance Film Festival: Local Lens 2026 summer screening series continues with free presentations. On July 19, Park City Film will host screenings of films such as The Lake and TheyDream in Park City, featuring post-screening Q&A sessions with directors Abby Ellis and William D. Caballero.
Other notable activities include a comedy show at Wiseguys Comedy Club featuring the Comedy Church program on July 19, and a pottery workshop at the Kimball Art Center in Park City. Local residents are also encouraged to practice fire safety and monitor active wildfire locations in Utah.
