In accordance with UCA 10-3-301, Roy City has announced the municipal positions to be voted upon during the 2025 Roy City Municipal Election.
Available Municipal Election Positions
The election will include a four-year term for Mayor, two four-year terms for Council members, and one two-year term for a Council member. The two-year council term is due to a mid-year vacancy and is required to return the position to its original voting cycle.
Candidate Filing Period Dates
The candidate filing period is scheduled to begin on June 2, 2025, and will conclude on June 6, 2025.
How to File Candidacy Declarations
Declarations of candidacy must be filed in person at the Roy City Recorder’s Office, located at 5051 South 1900 West, Roy. The office accepts filings between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

For filings occurring after 12:00 p.m. on Friday, completed forms may be submitted via email to bfowers@royutah.gov.
Primary and General Election Dates
The primary election is set to take place on August 12, 2025, followed by the general election on November 14, 2025.
