Brush Fire Contained Near Provo
Crews from the Provo Fire Department have contained a large brush fire that ignited above Slate Canyon in the mountains east of Brigham Young University. The blaze burned north of the site of the 2025 Buckley Fire and south of Y Mountain.
Fire Location and Scope
The fire broke out approximately two weeks ago, igniting in the area above Slate Canyon. Officials reported that the blaze was located south of Y Mountain.
