Charlie Daniel Despain died on August 28, 2026, following a fatal dirt bike accident while camping with his family, according to a September 7 report.
Despain was born February 2, 2004, in Ogden, Utah, to Luke DeSpain and Jennifer Senn. He was a 2022 graduate of Two Rivers High School. He was known for his interest in many activities, including camping, snowboarding, hiking, backpacking, shooting, traveling, games, car meets, music, anime, fashion, and animals.
Despain is survived by his parents, Luke and Emily DeSpain; his siblings Jennus, Gage, Hallie, and Tyler; grandparents Teena Wallace, Jan Wedmore, and Ron Wedmore; his girlfriend; and his lifelong best friend Hunter. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank Wallace.
An open house celebration of life was scheduled to be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on September 20, 2026, at the Plain City City Hall Building located at 4160 West 2200 North. The family expressed gratitude to the Bear Lake Sheriff Department and responding EMTs.
