The Utah Department of Transportation is encouraging drivers to watch for lane and ramp closures in Davis, Weber, and Utah County this weekend, according to a November 5 statement. These closures will affect various routes, including portions of I-15 and 2100 North.
In Davis County, the on-ramp from Park Lane to southbound Legacy Parkway in Farmington was scheduled to close from Thursday, Nov. 5 at 10 p.m. until Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 a.m. The ramp was also scheduled to close again from Friday, Nov. 6 at 10 p.m. until Monday, Nov. 9 at 5 a.m. for concrete repairs. Additionally, southbound I-15 between 200 North in Kaysville (Exit 328) and Park Lane in Farmington (Exit 324) was scheduled for a complete closure from Friday, Nov. 6 at 10 p.m. until Saturday, Nov. 7 at 6 a.m. for striping and signage work.
In Weber County, the ramp from southbound I-15 to eastbound I-84 (Exit 340) in Riverdale was scheduled to close from Friday, Nov. 6 at 10 p.m. until Monday, Nov. 9 at 6 a.m. while crews slide the second half of a new bridge into place.
Drivers in Utah County should plan for significant delays near I-15 on 2100 North (SR-194). Westbound 2100 North will close nightly at Ashton Boulevard, near the I-15 interchange (Exit 282), during the following times: Friday, Nov. 6, at 9 p.m. until Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7 a.m.; Saturday, Nov. 7, at 9 p.m. until Sunday, Nov. 8, at noon; and Sunday, Nov. 8, at 9 p.m. until Monday, Nov. 9, at 5 a.m. While the road will reopen to one lane during the day, drivers should expect backups near I-15. Additionally, a section of 2300 West between westbound and eastbound 2100 North will close from Friday, Nov. 6 at 9 p.m. to Monday, Nov. 9 at 5 a.m., and eastbound 2100 North will be reduced to one lane at 2300 West during that same period.
The Davis County closures are part of the Shepard Lane Improved project, which aims to build a new interchange at Shepard Lane in Farmington and improve pedestrian and bicyclist connections, with completion expected before the end of the year. The Riverdale bridge project, which involves replacing three aging bridges, is expected to wrap up this fall. The Utah County closures allow crews to replace a sewer line as part of the 2100 North freeway project, which is creating a 2.8-mile connection between I-15 and Mountain View Corridor and is expected to be completed in late 2028.
