Regarding school safety, the district noted that creating or sharing fake threats of violence on social media is illegal and can lead to consequences such as a minimum 10-day suspension, Safe School Referrals, or criminal charges. The district also reminded the community that bringing weapons onto school property is strictly prohibited and can result in removal from school for at least one year and criminal prosecution.
