Proposed legislative business included a resolution to authorize the transfer of Fire Station 110 and an adjoining parcel of real estate from Salt Lake County to Cottonwood Heights City. Additionally, the Council was scheduled to consider a resolution to amend the Salt Lake County Code to address land uses related to data centers, data center power plants, and associated infrastructure within unincorporated areas.
Budgetary discussions included a request from Parks and Recreation for an annualized operating funding adjustment of $824,690 for the new South Jordan Competition Pool. Another budget adjustment involved a request from Public Works for $107,011 to reimburse Flood Control for the purchase of radios.
The meeting was also scheduled to include several proclamations. These included a proclamation honoring Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, a recognition of September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and a proclamation honoring the 25th anniversary of the September 11th Day of Remembrance.
The meeting was scheduled to be simulcast via Webex and broadcast live on Facebook Live. Salt Lake County stated that free auxiliary aids and services can be provided to qualified individuals upon request with three working days' notice.
