1,000 Books Before Kindergarten details
To achieve the 1,000 books goal, the library notes that reading just one book per night can reach the target in less than three years, while reading three books per night can complete the goal in one year. The library provides resources such as book trackers, which allow parents to mark milestones in 100-book increments across ten pages.
Summer reading program information
In addition to the kindergarten program, the library is hosting the Unearth a Story summer reading program from June 1st through August 1st. This program allows readers of all ages to track books, participate in creative programs, and earn prizes.
Weekly storytimes and digital activities
Each library branch location hosts weekly storytimes where children can interact with staff storytellers. The library also provides various digital activities for kids, including an origami ghost craft, videos featuring Curious George, and interactive games like Elinor Wonders Why: Hide and Seek.
