Lehi Heritage Days held on July 31 served as a celebration of local history and artistic achievement. The event brought together residents to view vintage vehicles and various works of art from local creators.
Visitors at the event viewed two dozen or more restored vehicles, including a 1923 Model T Ford owned by Jason Smith.
Inside the Legacy Center, hundreds of visitors viewed artwork created by many Lehi natives. Among the artists on display was Stan Wanlass, a sculptor who was recently honored by the Salt Lake Museum of Art. Wanlass was present to answer questions regarding his automotive and historical sculptures.
Other artists featured at the event included Neldon Bullock, known for wooden pieces of art, and Randy Blackburn, who has spent 15 years designing sets for Lehi High School theatre productions. Dan Wilson was also present to create art on the spot, while Larry Thomas provided a taxidermy display of fish. Tyler Yates was also noted for his work.
The Lehi Historical Society, led by Lara Bangerter, prepared for the event, which is now in its 12th year. The celebration allowed honorees to reminisce with friends and acquaintances while highlighting their dedication to the Lehi community.
