The Midvale City Council scheduled a regular meeting for August 18, 2026, at Midvale City Hall. The meeting was set to be held both in-person and electronically.
The meeting agenda included a workshop regarding Utah Code 10-8-2 with the Midvale Arts Council. Following the workshop, a regular meeting was scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Several action items were listed for consideration during the meeting. These included Resolution No. 2026-R-44 regarding the second amendment to The Aaron by Signature Development Agreement, and Resolution 2026-R-45 which would authorize the Mayor to execute an interlocal agreement for real property purchase and sale with Sandy City.
Additionally, the council was set to consider Resolution No. 2026-R-46 for the fifth contract amendment for the 2022-2027 Pavement Restoration Services Agreement Project with Kilgore Contracting, and Resolution No. 2026-R-47 for the first contract amendment for the 2022-2027 Concrete Repairs Services Agreement Project.
The meeting included reports from the Unified Fire Authority, Mayor Dustin Gettel, and City Manager Matt Dahl. Council members scheduled to attend included Bonnie Billings, Paul Glover, Heidi Robinson, Bryant Brown, and Denece Mikolash.
Public comments were permitted for items not otherwise scheduled for a public hearing. Residents wishing to participate could submit comments electronically by 5:00 p.m. on August 17, 2026.
The City Council maintained the option to enter into a closed session for various purposes, including discussions regarding litigation strategy, real property, or the character and competence of an individual.
