Kaysville City has moved one step closer to establishing the Bamberger Food Hall following the recent approval of a negotiations agreement. This public-private partnership with Alchemy Development aims to renovate and convert the historic Kaysville Library into a new destination for downtown Kaysville.
Food Hall Project Details
The proposed concept plan for the food hall includes five restaurants, common seating areas, an outdoor patio, and space dedicated to food trucks. Additionally, the project will provide a flexible space intended for workshops, art, pop up retail, and various events.
Upcoming July 4th Celebrations
In addition to development news, Kaysville City has announced several upcoming community activities for the July 4th holiday period. Scheduled events include a Patriotic Devotional on July 2, Movies in the Park and Food Trucks on July 3, and a lineup on July 4 featuring a 5k, breakfast, a parade, and fireworks at Barnes Park.
Local Infrastructure and Construction Updates
Regarding local infrastructure, construction has begun on the Burton Lane Roundabout. This project will continue through the summer and fall as temporary fixtures are replaced with a larger, permanent roundabout. Meanwhile, East Wilderness Park is undergoing parking lot expansion and resurfacing. While campsites remain open, restrooms and the parking lot are scheduled to be closed for up to 90 days starting May 8th.
New City Manager Appointment
The city also welcomed Jaysen Christensen as the newly appointed city manager. Christensen brings over 20 years of municipal management experience from the St. Louis, Missouri region to Kaysville.
Community Notices and Engagement
Residents are reminded of various local notices, including fireworks restrictions for high fire hazard areas and a request for proper disposal of used sandbags at the landfill. For those interested in community engagement, the Kaysville Fire and Police Departments are participating in a lemonade stand challenge to connect with local youth.
