Governor Spencer Cox has issued a state of emergency for three Utah counties following heavy flooding. The declaration covers Beaver, Piute, and Sevier counties and is set to last for at least 30 days to expedite help from both state and federal agencies.

During an event at the Days of 47 Rodeo, Governor Cox pledged his support for helping the city of Beaver rebuild after flash flooding occurred over the weekend. The governor stated he has been in communication with the mayor and county commissioners regarding the situation.
