The City of Draper is proposing an increase to its property tax revenue, according to a recent public notice. The proposal includes adjustments for both residential and business properties in the city.
Under the proposed plan, the tax on an $838,000 residence would rise from $415.73 to $519.90, representing a yearly increase of $104.17. For a business valued at $838,000, the tax would increase from $755.88 to $945.26, an annual rise of $189.38.
If the proposed budget is approved, the City of Draper would receive an additional $122,224 in property tax revenue annually. This would represent a 22.55% increase in budgeted property tax revenue over last year's revenue, excluding eligible new growth.
The City of Draper is inviting concerned citizens to attend a public hearing to provide comments and hear the reasons for the proposed increase. The hearing is scheduled for August 12, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. at the Draper City Hall Council Chambers located at 1020 E. Pioneer Rd., Draper, Utah 84020.
