The USU Blanding Small Business Development Center has announced the addition of Talia Hansen to its team as a COVID Business Consultant. Working in Meghan McFall’s office, Hansen will serve the Grand and San Juan County area, available both remotely and in person as a resource for the SBDC office.
Businesses in San Juan County can now access support for available Coronavirus relief options and receive advice on navigating specific requirements. Hansen brings experience from her time with the team that opened The Leonardo and The Museum of Natural History, utilizing her background as an exhibit designer, instructor, and public programs developer.
Hansen has completed training through the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Production in the Innovation Economy program at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, as well as Stanford Design Thinking. Her expertise includes using design thinking to transform organizations and incorporating innovation into business practices.
As a business owner herself, Hansen has been working with companies since early March to assist small businesses through COVID relief programs and advise on pivoting to new marketing strategies.
McFall stated she is happy to have Hansen on board with the USU Small Business Development Center and expressed confidence that San Juan County will benefit from her knowledge and experience.
