Applications for the next Trails, Arts, and Parks grant cycle are currently being accepted through August 31.
To assist with the process, workshops will be held to cover topics including eligibility criteria, grant requirements, and matching funds.
The upcoming grant application workshops are scheduled for two dates at the Wasatch County Admin Building Council Chambers, located at 25 N. Main in Heber.
The first workshop is set for Monday, July 14 at 5 p.m., followed by a second session on Monday, Aug. 4 at 5 p.m.
In 2022, Wasatch County voters approved a local sales and use tax of 1/10 of a percent to enhance trails, arts, and parks within the county.
The tax became effective in 2023, with the first TAP grant being awarded in 2024. The Wasatch County Trails, Arts, and Park (TAP) Tax Advisory Board is responsible for recommending fund usage and facilitation to the County Council.
