Reza Amiri Moghadam reported that the United States has begun a war contrary to the terms of an MOU and international principles, resulting in the destruction of infrastructure.
According to Moghadam, this follows a period where the US interpreted a 14-point MOU contrary to its terms to gain control over parts of the Strait Hormuz.
The memorandum of understanding was reached after several months of mediation by Pakistan, with a decision made for talks to continue in six months.
Moghadam stated that the US interpretation of the MOU was arbitrary and constituted a blatant violation of the agreement. The statement noted that the Iranian side would not accept this interpretation.
Moghadam expressed an expectation that the international community will strongly condemn what he described as an aggressive and reckless act.
