The Smithfield Library Board is scheduled to hold a meeting on Oct. 21, 2026, according to an October 13 notice. The meeting will take place at 25 N Main in Smithfield.
The meeting agenda includes remarks from Board Chair Stephanie Nixon and a review of the minutes from the June 17, 2026, meeting. Shae Hansen is scheduled to lead a discussion regarding the Friends of the Library group.
Additional agenda items include a director's report and discussions concerning revisions to the library board bylaws and the social media policy. John Engler will provide a report as the City Council representative.
