Lost Creek State Park is currently managing Stage 2 fire restrictions and ongoing construction projects as of late July 2026. According to park updates, Stage 2 restrictions prohibit all open fires, including those in established fire pits, charcoal grills, or pellet grills. Only properly shielded gas or liquid-fueled portable camp stoves with a shut-off valve are permitted, provided they are used in a barren area at least three feet in diameter with no flammable vegetation.
The park is undergoing major construction and amenities improvements that began in June 2025. Due to these projects, the Little Trail Creek Area below the dam is closed to all day use and camping activities, with the exception of fishing in the creek. Anglers are advised to park near the dam and avoid construction areas. Additionally, the Deer Hollow Area, located at the first parking lot before crossing the dam, will experience intermittent closures during the construction process. Visitors are asked to stay out of closed areas to ensure access to the rest of the park.
Current park conditions include open water with a temperature of 78 degrees and a water level of 41 percent. The launch ramp is open for the spring and summer season, though the wedge dock has been removed due to water levels. Fishing conditions are currently rated as moderate. For visitor convenience, new vault restrooms are available, and free wifi is provided for guests at the Deer Hollow parking area.
Day-use remains open at the park. Visitors should remain aware of construction boundaries and fire safety regulations to ensure park access and safety.
