According to the report, the MLS maintains a two-conference format. In this structure, the top seven teams in each conference advance directly to the Playoffs, while the eighth and ninth-placed teams compete in a Play-In round.
In the Western Conference, the Vancouver Whitecaps lead the standings with 43 points. Houston Dynamo follows in second place with 40 points, while Los Angeles FC and FC Dallas are tied with 37 points each. Real Salt Lake occupies the tenth position in the Western Conference with 29 points after 22 games played.
In the Eastern Conference, Nashville SC holds the top position with 53 points. Inter Miami, which won its first MLS title in 2025, sits in second place with 43 points.
Matchday 24 includes several upcoming fixtures scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, such as Houston Dynamo against Real Salt Lake and Chicago Fire against Inter Miami.
Looking ahead to Matchday 25, Real Salt Lake is scheduled to play New York City on Saturday, September 12.
