LEHI — Youth performers from the Lehi Arts Council’s summer theater camps staged Disney’s *The Jungle Book Kids* at the Lehi Arts Center this week, with a second cast still set to take the stage next week.
The production is not a full mainstage musical with a published adult cast list. It is the council’s Kids Musical Theater Workshop boot camp for ages 8–10, built around Music Theatre International’s short youth version of *The Jungle Book Kids*. Classes and shows are held at the Lehi Arts Center, 685 North Center Street in Lehi.
According to the council’s workshops schedule, three youth “casts” or sessions ran this summer. Cast A rehearsed July 6–15 and performed July 16–18. Cast B rehearsed in mid-July and performed July 22–25, with no performance on July 24. Cast C is rehearsing July 20–29 and performs July 30 through Aug. 1.
Ticket listings on the council’s site fill in the public show times for the later sessions. Session B shows were listed for July 23 and July 25 at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. each night. Session C is listed for July 30, July 31 and Aug. 1, also at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. each day.
Who was in it? The performers are local children enrolled in the summer intensive — not a single named company with publicly posted individual credits. Lehi Arts Council materials group them as Cast A, Cast B and Cast C rather than listing every Mowgli, Baloo or Bagheera by name. The Kids workshops are for ages 8–10 and cost $140 to enroll; registration for summer 2026 opened May 2. A separate Miniz program for ages 5–7 ran “It’s A Jungle Out There” in June, and older students (ages 11–16) are in *Dare to Dream Jr.* camps performing Aug. 6–11.
That youth-camp model is distinct from the council’s concurrent mainstage show. Disney’s *Frozen* ran July 10–25 at Lehi High School as a general-admission evening production, with a July 25 matinee at 3 p.m., while *Jungle Book Kids* stayed at the Arts Center as a workshop showcase.
Licensing data from Music Theatre International also lists a Lehi production of *Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids* with dates spanning early to late July 2026, consistent with the multi-session workshop calendar.
If you missed Cast B this week, Cast C’s remaining performances on July 30–Aug. 1 are the next chance to see the show. Tickets are sold through lehiarts.org/tickets. For questions about the production, workshop policies or upcoming programming, the Lehi Arts Council lists 385-323-0955 and info@lehiarts.org, and keeps season and workshop details at lehiarts.org. Fall plans advertised on the site include *Clue* for the mainstage season and additional youth workshops such as *Addams Family* material after summer camps close.
Workshop rules posted by the council underscore how seriously the camps treat performance week: attendance is required, no more than two classes may be missed, and no performances or tech rehearsals may be missed. Classes are nonrefundable unless canceled by the council.
Bottom line for readers asking what happened “this week”: Cast B of *Jungle Book Kids* wrapped its Lehi Arts Center run July 22–25 (skipping July 24), after Cast A’s mid-July shows, with Cast C still ahead July 30–Aug. 1 — all youth performers ages 8–10, credits listed by cast group rather than by individual name on the public site.
