The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is performing preservation work on Interstate 15 east of Mona to strengthen existing infrastructure. The project involves rehabilitating bridge decks at four locations and resurfacing the roadway to improve ride quality and safety for drivers.
The construction effort includes repairs to eight bridges located between Rocky Ridge and Nephi. During working hours, there is an 11-foot wide restriction for northbound and southbound travel on I-15 between Rocky Ridge and north of Nephi for wide loads.
Work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions and the availability of materials. The project involves both day and night work, with no holiday work scheduled.
Construction began on April 19, 2026, with bridge and structure work completed between April 19 and May 21. Paving is scheduled from June 14 through July 22, involving night work and single-lane closures in both directions. The project is estimated to be complete by August 2026.
