The 17th-ranked Utah Utes are scheduled to host Utah State at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 19. The matchup serves as the annual Ute Proud game and includes a celebration for the Utah Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
The Ute Proud game is a tradition that honors the culture and traditions of the Ute Indian Tribe and its relationship with the University of Utah. This follows a recent renewal of a formal agreement between the university and the tribe regarding the use of the name "Utes."
The Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will be formally inducted during a Friday evening banquet and introduced to fans at halftime during the Saturday game. The class includes Zane Beadles (Football, 2006-09), Daria Bijak (Gymnastics, 2007-10), Katrin Smigun (Women's Skiing, 2003), Delon Wright (Men's Basketball, 2013-15), Jerry Pimm (Men's Basketball Coach, 1974-83), and the 1991 softball team.
Fans attending the game are encouraged to arrive early to Rice-Eccles Stadium. The team is expected to arrive at Gate L on 500 South by 11:05 a.m. to meet team buses. Pre-game entertainment, including a performance by the University of Utah Marching Band, is scheduled before the team's run-out onto the field.
The stadium will utilize the Utah 360 mobile app for managing tickets, parking passes, and ordering concessions. The game will be broadcast on FOX. Admission to the stadium requires digital tickets and parking passes to be downloaded to a smartphone wallet prior to arrival.
Rice-Eccles Stadium operates under a clear bag policy. For transportation, rides on UTA buses, TRAX, and FrontRunner trains are free for ticket holders when a valid game ticket is displayed.
