Real Salt Lake has acquired center back Judah Pritchett from D.C. United in a deal announced September 18, 2026. According to a statement from the club, the trade involves $50,000 of 2026 General Allocation Money (GAM), with the possibility of an additional $125,000 in GAM being sent to D.C. United if specific performance-based incentives are reached.
Pritchett signed a two-year guaranteed contract upon arriving at the Wasatch Front. His first year will be with MLS NEXT Pro side Real Monarchs through the 2027 sprint season, followed by an MLS deal for the 2027-28 season. Real Salt Lake maintains club options for the 2028-29 and 2029-30 seasons.
The 6-foot-3-inch center back previously joined the D.C. United Academy in 2022 and remained with the club through the 2025-26 season. A former five-star recruit, Pritchett had committed to Syracuse University in February before signing his professional contract. He was also named to the 2025 MLS NEXT East All-Star Squad.
The Real Monarchs were scheduled to conclude their season this Sunday at Zions Bank Stadium against Ventura County FC, with kickoff set for 3:00 p.m. MT and free admission.
