The Park City Outliers secured a 5-2 victory against the Rock Springs Miners on Friday night at the Black Rock Mountain Event Center, according to a report published October 9. The win follows a loss for the Outliers on Thursday.
Five different players scored for Park City during the matchup. Rookie Hank Hughes recorded his fourth consecutive game with a goal, while defenseman Mads Egge-Edner scored his first goal in America after a deflected slap shot. Egge-Edner noted that he initially thought the goal belonged to Chris Lundie before being informed otherwise.
In the second period, goals from Chris Lundie, captain Erick Bachtle, and Max Young, who scored on the powerplay, established a lead for the Outliers that was maintained for the remainder of the game. The victory brings the Outliers' record to 4-1-0-0, while the Miners fall to 3-1-0-0. This was the first loss of the season for the Miners.
