Kaysville officials have released several community updates regarding the FY 2027 tentative budget, ongoing road construction, and statewide fire restrictions. The city is currently providing information on a proposed property tax increase and inviting public participation in the Truth in Taxation public hearing.

In transportation news, a significant traffic shift for the 200 North reconstruction project began on July 7, 2026. Construction activities have moved to the north side of 200 North between 500 East and Country Lane. To accommodate this work, traffic is being moved to the south side of the roadway, a configuration expected to remain in place through Winter 2026.
Crews are currently engaged in milling existing pavement, performing utility infrastructure upgrades, and replacing damaged concrete. Residents should be aware that temporary driveway access interruptions and short-term side street closures may occur as work progresses.
Separately, the State of Utah and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management have implemented Stage 2 Fire Restrictions on state and federally managed lands across Utah due to exceptionally dry vegetation. These specific fire restrictions do not apply to private property within city or county limits.
