The Mountainous Planning District Planning Commission has scheduled a business meeting for September 17, 2026, according to a September 2 notice. The meeting is set to begin at 3:00 PM at 2001 South State Street, N1-110, in Salt Lake City.
The agenda for the meeting includes the approval of the Planning Commission meeting minutes from August 20, 2026. Additionally, the commission will address project OAM2026-001669, which involves an ordinance amendment project intended to reorganize Title 19 Zoning. This project is expected to be discussed by the commission in three phases.
During the meeting, planning staff will provide an overview of the entire ordinance amendment project. This will be followed by a discussion and work session for phase 2 of the project. This second phase includes several chapters, such as specific use standards, temporary uses, site development standards, off-street parking and mobility, landscaping and screening, signs, flood hazard regulations, flood damage prevention, geological hazards, airport overlay zone, foothills and canyons overlay zone, historic preservation, and the PC Planned Community Zone.
