The Wasatch Front Water Quality Council scheduled a meeting for Sept. 1, 2026, according to a notice published August 27. The session is set to take place at the Central Valley Water Reclamation Facility in Salt Lake City.
The meeting, which is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., includes an agenda covering several environmental and policy topics. Discussions will include an update on the biosolids land application joint effort, specifically regarding siting work and discussions with Ensign Ranch and Dan Griffin. The council will also review minutes from July 7, 2026, and conduct a financial and claims review.
Research and policy updates are also on the agenda. The council will receive reports on sediment recycling, plans for coring Farmington Bay, and diatom studies in Utah Lake. Additionally, updates regarding a draft biosolids/PFAS Utah proposal and a report on light attenuation in Utah Lake are scheduled for discussion.
