First Responder Heroes Honored for 9/11

Eagle Mountain kicked off Patriot Day with a flag ceremony at Cedar Valley High School and a Hero Parade that passed by several elementary schools. Fire trucks, patrol vehicles, and first responders traveled through Eagle Mountain to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
Students and staff at the following schools had the chance to see the parade pass by and wave to the heroes who showed up for them this morning:

Juniper Basin Elementary
Blackridge Academy
Silverlake Elementary
Brookhaven Elementary
Pony Express Elementary
Ranches Academy
Hidden Hollow Elementary
Desert Sky Elementary
Eagle Valley Elementary
The parade connected students and faculty with the first responders who carry forward the legacy of courage shown on 9/11. Moments like this help the next generation understand what it means to serve, and they give our local heroes a chance to be celebrated right in their own neighborhoods.
The City is grateful to the Unified Fire Authority and the Utah County Sheriff's Office and their continued dedication to keeping Eagle Mountain safe.
