Smith Entertainment Group unveiled new specialty license plates for the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth on Tuesday. The redesigned Utah Jazz license plate was announced to be available for fans to order through the Utah Division of Motor Vehicles beginning July 1.
The newly redesigned Utah Jazz license plate marks the first major redesign for the team since 2021. The plate is available for most passenger vehicles and may be personalized with up to five alphanumeric characters. A portion of the proceeds from each public sale will benefit organizations and support programs affecting women and children.
Fans were able to order the Jazz plate online at DMV.utah.gov starting July 1.
The first-ever Utah Mammoth specialty license plate will become available once the state-required approval process is complete, according to Smith Entertainment Group. This plate uses the team's official branding and marks a new addition to the state's specialty options.
A portion of proceeds from the sale of these plates will benefit the SEG Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to support people and causes in Utah.
Utah state law requires the public to express interest in new special group license plate designs, such as the Utah Mammoth plate, before production begins. Details regarding how individuals can register their interest will be available at a future date via DMV.utah.gov.
There is currently no specific timeframe for when the Mammoth plates will be available for order, as production will move forward once the required interest threshold is reached.
