A search was underway Tuesday night at Sand Hollow Reservoir after two females were reported missing at approximately 4:30 p.m., according to a September 15 report by Gephardt Daily.
The missing individuals were last seen on a jet ski in the southern part of the reservoir and were not wearing life jackets.
The Utah Department of Natural Resources Division of Law Enforcement stated in a news release that alcohol is considered a potential contributing factor and that one individual is in custody in relation to the incident.
The Hurricane Police Department and Washington County Search and Rescue were assisting with the search operation.
Officials requested that the public avoid the operational area located at the South Beach while the investigation and operation remained ongoing.
