Dr. William Anderegg, a climate scientist from the University of Utah, is scheduled to present a talk titled Professor Anderegg: Illuminating the Future of Earth's Forests Under Climate Change.
The event will take place on Wednesday, June 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the Community Room at Park City Library.
Dr. Anderegg serves as the Director of the Wilkes Center for Climate Science and Policy within the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Utah.
His presentation will address concerns regarding massive forest mortality events observed in many tree species over the last two decades. The talk will cover how drought, insects, and wildfire may affect forests in the coming decades, specifically looking at forest ecosystems in the western US and around the world.
The presentation will be held at the Park City Library located at 1255 Park Ave., Park City, UT 84060.
