Kaysville City is managing several active community initiatives, including significant progress on the 200 North construction project and the launch of new secondary water management tools. Additionally, Mayor Tami Tran shared a message reflecting on community values through the lens of Valentine's Day and the upcoming nation's 250th anniversary.
200 North Construction Milestones
The 200 North construction project has reached milestones in Phase 1, which spans from Main Street to 500 East. Since work began in January 202 and progress continued through November 2025, crews have replaced 6,000 feet of water line, 3,100 feet of sewer line, and installed 5,000 feet of new curb and gutter. Over 50 homes have been connected to the new sewer line. Phase 2, extending from 500 East to Country Lane, is anticipated to run through December 2026.
New Secondary Water Management Portal
Regarding water management, the Davis and Weber Counties Canal Company has launched MyWater, a new online portal at mywaterutah.org to help secondary water users track usage. This comes as the 2026 water season approaches with reports showing 49% of median snowpack in the Weber-Ogden Basin and 57% in the Great Salt Lake Basin.
Expanded Local Community Services
Community services are also expanding. The VITA program is offering free tax preparation for qualified individuals at the Davis Technical College Rotunda from February 4 through April 15, 2026. For those seeking pet services, Davis County Animal Care has partnered with DocuPet to allow residents to license dogs and cats online.
Upcoming City Activities and Opportunities
Local residents are encouraged to participate in upcoming city activities, including the America the Beautiful painting exhibit at City Hall and volunteering for July 4th celebrations. The RAMP Advisory Committee is currently accepting applications for two at-large member openings until February 11, 2026.
