South Elementary is inviting all parents of students to apply for positions on the school's Community Council for the 2026/27 school year. The school is seeking to fill three parent positions, consisting of two two-year terms and one one-year term.
The school has also transitioned its communication methods. The Iron County School District has adopted ParentSquare as a new platform to help keep parents and students better connected and informed.
Other recent school activities and updates included a Back to School Night and a Route 66 celebration held in May. Additionally, the Iron County School District Board of Education has been engaged in discussions regarding boundary proposals and the approval of a traditional school year calendar for 2026-27.
