Sunday is forecast to have partly cloudy skies with a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm during the day. However, chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms increase after dark Sunday evening, specifically during the overnight hours and into Monday morning. Most areas are expected to remain dry as the storms will be scattered.
Forecasted rainfall totals through Monday morning range from a trace to approximately a tenth of an inch. While Monday afternoon may see a few showers and thunderstorms in higher elevations, the valleys are expected to stay dry.
Temperatures are projected to increase under high pressure, with highs reaching the upper 80s to low 90s by Wednesday and potentially continuing into Friday. Morning lows are expected to remain in the 50s and 60s.
For the upcoming period, afternoon highs are forecasted to reach approximately 88 degrees in Grand Junction and Montrose, 90 degrees in Delta, and 87 degrees in both Cortez and Moab.
