The Weber State University Alumni Association hosted a football tailgate at Southern Utah University to support the Wildcats as they played the Thunderbirds. According to an alumni association notice, the event was sold out.
The event was scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Southern Utah University's Eccles Coliseum in Cedar City. The tailgate featured a catered meal from Mo'Bettahs, including teriyaki chicken, kalua pork, Hawaiian rolls, macaroni salad, tossed salad, rice, Coca-Cola, bottled water, and Doughnutsville Donuts.
Attendees were invited to the event, which included WSU students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, and community members. The tailgate was located in the parking lot at the intersection of Thunderbird Way and 800 West, where attendees could park for free.
Game tickets were available through the SUU Ticket Office using the promo code WSUALUMNI. The first 75 registrants were scheduled to receive a HydroJug water bottle, fan, and cheer pom.
